The 1st annual multi-gallery print exhibition in Denver’s
well known Santa Fe and Golden Triangle art districts is celebrating
the history, tradition and experimentation of the handmade print.
The exhibition will be viewed by over 5,000 visitors at the
participating galleries: Open Press Gallery, Walker Fine Art, Space
Gallery, Carla Wright Gallery, Abecedarian Gallery, Knoll Gallery,
Black Book, Vertigo Art Space, Artwork Network, and Z Art Dept.
Criteria for selection: original hand-made fine art prints only. ● Intaglio (etching, drypoint, engraving, mezzotint, polymer etching, collograph, etc.) ● Relief (woodcut, linocut, etc.) ● Lithography ● Silkscreen ● Monotypes ● Monoprints
No reproductions, giclées or digital prints.
Entry fee: $20 (non-refundable, via PayPal button below) for up to 2 framed pieces and up to ten shrink wrapped or similarly protected pieces. (Money Orders and Personal Checks can be mailed to 40 W. Bayaud Ave. Denver, CO 80223. Please make all checks payable to The Print Event.) For Credit Card payments please call: (303)778-1116. Only two entries should be submitted in Jpeg format (75 dpi, not to exceed 1 MB) and emailed to openpressltd@ecentral.com. Label file names with artist last name and number (example: smith_1.jpg, smith_2.jpg). Include artist name, title, dimensions, and medium in email body. Please include your name and “The Print Event” as the subject of your email. For other formats please call: (303)778-1116. Accepted artists are responsible for delivery and pick-up of their artwork. Selling price must not exceed $500.00. Galleries will retain a 50% commission on all sales. We intend the show to be as inclusive as possible.
Timeline: Friday August 20th - Deadline for submissions (any submissions received after midnight will be returned) Wednesday August 25th - Notify artists of acceptance status and when and where to deliver work Thursday September 2nd - Opening date: 6-9 pm Friday September 3rd - All galleries open for First Friday: regular gallery hours Saturday September 4th - Closing date: 5 pm Artist pick-up time: 5-6 pm (or at the exhibiting gallery’s discretion) or at Open Press the following week
